A view of a section of the West Bottoms in Kansas City, Missouri. This shows a hand full of the old buildings listed below, some of which are now used as "Haunted Houses".

Old Union Depot
Stowe Hardware and Co. on the left side of the road
12th Street Bridge
The old Wear house Building, now The Chambers of Edgar Allen Poe Haunted House first opened in 2007.
The Chambers of Edgar Allan Poe haunted house is one of the unsung scares of the West Bottoms, a seven-story building that looks haunted even from the outside. When not in use as a haunted house those that work there have experienced true hauntings.
A movie crew monitored by Discovery Channels Ghost Lab conducted paranormal activity in the old building not too long ago.
Those who work there say there have been incidents, and the building has witnessed death: It was here that the former owner, Dennis Kingsolver, died in an accident in 2005, as he was repairing the elevator. He was 38.
One manager at the house said she slipped and fell down the front staircase, but it felt more like she was pushed, even though no one was around. Another worker reported soda cans spinning on their own. An open window in an upper floor should serve as an invitation for a pigeon party, but no pigeons ever venture inside.
We have coffins plucked from the Missouri River in the 1993 flood, Arnett-Bequeaith said about props in the fourth floor cemetery display. That part of the building is always much colder than the rest. I havent seen a ghost, but Ill tell you when I do.
It was thought that the Coffins that were brought in (as they are real) the ones plucked from the Missouri River are what is causing all the hauntings.
To create the West Bottoms experience, Arnett-Bequeaith visited Poes gravesite in Baltimore, the city where he died at age 40, and did research at the Poe Museum in Richmond, Va.

Liane, Beautiful view of what appears to be an industrial site in Missouri. Excellent details captured here and this photo has remarkable clarity to it as the foreground and background are so clear. Amazing photo, voted, google and tweet promoted
